Who We Are — Edmonds Kiwanis

Overview

Established in 1978, Edmonds Kiwanis is a spirited group of leaders dedicated to serving our community with a focus on supporting young children and adolescent programs.

We are a busy club engaged in several philanthropic projects throughout the year.  From spearheading food drives and sponsoring Meadowdale and Edmonds-Woodway High School Key Clubs, to providing free bike helmets to local grade school kids and dictionaries to every 3rd grader in our neighborhood, Edmonds Kiwanis is engaged in several community focused programs and is passionate about making a difference.

Our Mission

The founding principle of Kiwanis International, to empower communities by making a lasting difference in the lives of children, applies here for the members of Edmonds Kiwanis.

Each Club member is dedicated to serving the children in our community by identifying their needs and pursuing creative ways to improve their quality of life.  Kids need Kiwanis.

Working together on various projects, Edmonds Kiwanis is focused on community, companionship and shared experiences. Our picnic in the park each summer, often with other local Kiwanis Cubs as well as spouses and friends, is a lively gathering to meet up, socialize and express our mutual appreciation for one another.

Each October we gather to install new Club officers and celebrate the founding of our club. At this annual event we also recognize members for their exceptional service during the past year with the prestigious "Kiwanian of the Year" and "Captain Smith" awards.  We look forward to this fun event every year as we come together with family and friends to celebrate each other and all that we do throughout the year together as a Club.

The Kiwanis Club of Edmonds provides companionship, challenges and camaraderie to like-minded leaders in our tightknit community.  Having fun and enjoying what we do are two of the keys to having a stellar group dedicated to service.
