Holy Rosary Builder's Club Update (November 2025)

Hi Everyone, 
Today we had an awesome Builders Club meeting and got alot done! Below is a recap of what we have talked discussed and done the last two meetings: 
  • We start each meeting with the Builders Pledge. 
    “I pledge on my honor to uphold the Objects of the Builders Club. To better my school, my community, my world and myself. To aid those in need while enhancing leadership capabilities, and to encourage the fellowship of all.”
  • We review the Motto, Mission, Values and Objects. 
    Motto: Building Leaders
    Mission: Builders Club is a global student-lead organization that provides members with learning and experiences to build character, contribute through service and develop leadership.
    Values: 
    Learning- Acquiring skills and knowledge to develop self-awareness and service leadership over time.
    Inclusion- Accepting and welcoming the differences and perspectives of others.
    Common Good- Committing to making the school and community better for all.
    Service- Turning empathy into action that betters the community or the lives of others.
    Leadership- Listening, communicating, serving and guiding others effectively.
    Objects: To foster caring, empathy and good character in students. To develop students’ service and leadership skills. To provide opportunities for students to learn, engage, serve and lead to benefit school, community and world.

  • Next on our agenda is a “gratitude activity or moment”
    -In our October meeting we made gratitude jars and wrote down things we are grateful for
    –    Today all of the students shared things that they are grateful for. 

  • Both last meeting and today we talked about what gifts we each have and how they will help or impact our Builders Club activities.

  • Today we discussed the different officer positions that are available and what each involves. (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer).

  • Last meeting we discussed and listed out ways we want to impact our community. Today we planned out which project should happen in each month. 
  1. December – Sock and Gloves Drive (benefiting Marys Place) 
  2. January – Food Drive (benefitting Edmonds Food Bank)
  3. February – Diaper Drive (potentially Westside baby)
  4. March –  Animal Food Drive (charity TBD)
  5. April – Helmet Drive (Edmonds Kiwanis club provides helmets to kids in need)
  6. May – Beach Clean up
Attached is a flier we worked on to create together during our meeting that we will post in each classroom as well as in the Wednesday school email. Please ask your son/daughter to send me any edits or additions to this flier. Once all of our club members have reviewed our flier we will print them out. The students also discussed wanting to go in groups of 2 or 3 and telling each class about their sock and glove drive. 
 
Next Builders Club meeting is December 15th at 1:30 in the school library.
